Dealing With New Players At the Blackjack Table

One thing you should know about the game of blackjack already is that it’s a game of skill. That of course means that as new blackjack players enter the market they have to go through the same thing that you did when you first began playing. They have to start by committing the basic strategy chart to memory – at least at a conceptual level – and then they have to practice. This can be the difficult part…where they practice. You’re going to find that most blackjack players, once you get a handle on the actual game, start to venture off in as diverse gambling settings as they can possibly find. That means they’ll use land-based casinos in tournaments along with online casinos in tournaments. The truth is that this is the best way to get a good knowledge of the game and start to really learn about how to maneuver through it. Of course the goal of all the practice is to start winning and that’s exactly what most blackjack players are determined to do. But there is a problem…

What if you are an avid blackjack player and keep on coming in contact with newbies? It can be frustrating to watch them make novice mistakes at the blackjack table. They may hit when you know they should be standing; or take out an insurance wager when you know they shouldn’t. They may double down at the wrong times and irritate the overall table. So what are you as a good blackjack player supposed to do? The honest truth is that whatever you go to a casino and play a multiplayer table you’re going to have to deal with new players. The good news about blackjack though is that you’re playing against the dealer and not the other players at the table. So what they do doesn’t really affect your outcome all that much. Yes, it can be frustrating to watch them but just keep reminding yourself that not too long ago you were at the exact same stage of the game.
